Are you doing it all wrong?

You might be doing it all wrong if you're an entrepreneur and aren't using project management software such as Asana.com or Monday.com. As a true entrepreneur, your daily focus should be on delegation, not on performing tasks. Your time should primarily be dedicated to strategizing for growth. It's crucial to delegate tasks clearly. I've personally struggled with this throughout my entrepreneurial journey. I was adept at creating chaos and getting people to join in on the chaos. One example of chaos, in a nutshell, is unclear delegation.

Why do you "need" these software tools?

They offer clear delegations with automation. It's that simple. In the past, I used to send out 25 delegations weekly. How did I track them? How did I effectively communicate what needed to be done?

Here's an example to illustrate why you need one of these platforms:

Imagine you have a department head who needs to report back to your manager every week.

Both your manager and department head have assignments that must be completed on specific days of the week.

Monday.com allows you to create an automation that generates a task once a week, complete with instructions or step-by-step guidance, on a specific date and time with a due date assigned to the individuals responsible for completing it.

You might even want to assign one to yourself to ensure they are being executed and to receive notifications whenever there's communication related to the delegation.

I'm a big fan of triple-checking too. So, you can also integrate Slack into the equation to report to a #report channel every week whenever a delegation is completed.

As a CEO, business owner, asset manager, or whatever you choose to call yourself, you have one job: create a growth system by setting goals. Without a tool like Monday.com or Asana.com, it's virtually impossible to achieve meaningful growth.

Here's some background on my experience with both of them:

I had been an Asana user for five years and realized I wanted to make use of the timer feature. I also needed their form feature (where tasks are auto-assigned once a form is submitted). However, this would have cost my company an additional $14 per month per user. I had to upgrade to the Business tier within Asana, bringing my per-person cost to $30.49 per month. Monday.com offers a "Pro" tier at $20 a month, which includes both the time tracking and forms. In my opinion, not only is Monday.com more cost-effective, but it also offers a better user interface and overall experience.
